Founded by Jayne Lewis and Danielle Allen, Two Birds Brewing is Australia’s first female-owned brewing company. The brewery distributes award-winning craft beers nationwide through wholesale distribution, direct sales and retail. After launching their first beer with an initial forecast to open a brewery within five years, rapid growth saw them open ‘The Nest’—a state-of-the-art brewery, bottling line, tasting room, meals and function facility—only three and a half years later.

“When we opened The Nest, we knew we needed software to help us manage all the components and parts of the business. That was the point when we started looking to NetSuite.” Danielle Allen, Co-owner, Two Birds Brewing
After Mike Mays bought out co-founder Gary Heine’s stake in the business and John Schnatter, CEO of Papa John’s, invested in the company, Heine Brothers’ ambitiously expanded, doubling the number of locations to 14 in just two years, including an Indiana location, and became the largest singly-owned coffee chain in the Louisville market.
Two Birds Brewing quickly realised that their operations were becoming too diverse and complex for their existing accounting software. The software wasn't equipped to handle an omnichannel brand, unable to offer a single source of truth for their retail, wholesale, direct to consumer and online business.
NetSuite provided Two Birds Brewing with a scalable ‘one-stop shop’ solution to meet the brewery’s CRM, manufacturing, and financial management requirements from a single unified platform. As a result, the brewery can now easily set up multiple locations, transfer stock, update inventory and glean invaluable consumer insights from real-time sales data.
With NetSuite firmly in place for the future, Two Birds Brewing has confidently set goals to double business growth and increase their local distribution footprint in the next 12 months. It also plans to expand into overseas exports, taking the founders' brewing passion to foreign shores.
