PI’s previous business system, FinancialForce, failed to provide the accuracy and flexibility the finance team needed. For example, the balance sheet sometimes simply wouldn’t tie—assets wouldn’t equal liabilities and equity, and finding the problem was difficult. Other tasks, like creating trended balance sheets for investors, would’ve required spending inordinate amounts of time and money with a consultant

PI has used NetSuite to boost accuracy and save time in finance and accounting. Customised reports segment data by revenue channel, so the team can pinpoint the exact channels holding it back from revenue targets when relevant. And with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management handling recurring revenue, PI easily stays compliant with the latest accounting standards, including ASC 606.
More efficiencies on deck
PI is implementing NetSuite Planning and Budgeting so it can save even more time. For example, the solution will relieve the finance team of manually updating the 50-tab spreadsheet it currently uses to forecast revenue and accounts payable. Along with the recent automation of other tasks from expense reimbursements to dunning letters, the solution will free up the team to further act as a strategic advisor to the rest of the business.
