Franchise model fuels rapid expansion
The demand for senior care services grew quickly, with the franchise model helping to accelerate this expansion. Currently, the network’s more than 1,100 independently-owned and operated franchises provide in excess of 70 million hours of care annually throughout the United States and 11 other countries.
QuickBooks still too slow
As the business grew and began working with international franchisees, it quickly became apparent that its existing QuickBooks Enterprise system would not be able to provide the multi-currency capabilities, reporting and added functionality Home Instead would need in the future.
Advanced Customer Support handles new complexities
After evaluating Sage, Home Instead implemented NetSuite because it had a strong reputation in the industry and was proven to be scalable. When changes in tax rules required the company to charge sales tax, it brought in NetSuite Advanced Customer Support to manage integrations with tax and payment processors.
Automate payments, business diversification
Now able to automate payments and billing and automatically charge sales tax to 750 North American franchisees, Home Instead is looking to expand its services to care for Alzheimer’s patients and Alzheimer’s training support services for businesses.
