Getting unwired sparks expansion
As demand for hotel internet access went from wired Ethernet to WiFi, Datavalet’s business evolved, supplying its services to not only hotels, but restaurant chains and banks and providing access to not only customers but employees and point of sale devices. It now partners with major Canadian telco providers.
Subscription business creates complexity
As business expanded and diversified, Datavalet struggled to manage financials and recognise its subscription-and-services-based business on its Acomba accounting system. When new investors wanted greater visibility into operations, the company tried to reconfigure Acomba but soon realised it needed a new system.
SuiteBilling makes sweet work of complex billing
Datavalet chose NetSuite over SAP Business One, Sage Intacct and Microsoft Dynamics, implementing in just four months with the SuiteSuccess methodology and NetSuite Professional Services, and now has a unified platform for managing financials, its US subsidiary and complex billing scenarios with SuiteBilling. Billing has been simplified significantly.
Signing up for PSA, expansion
Pleased with its initial NetSuite success, Datavalet quickly decided to implement NetSuite Professional Services Automation to replace a customsied SugarCRM tool to manage its deployment department. NetSuite OneWorld has Datavalet well positioned for acquisitions and expansion into the US.
