Founded 25 years ago as a nursing home for AIDS patients, Brightpoint Health has grown into a large nonprofit organisation serving patients from all backgrounds—whether they have insurance or not—at 22 locations across all of New York City's five boroughs. Amidst the organisation's growth and evolution, it found its existing DOS-based financial system was holding it back, making it difficult to access valuable data.

Hampered by a system that couldn't provide the reporting capabilities required to support Brightpoint's mission of providing healthcare to the homeless and underserved, the organisation knew it needed a modern financial system. After evaluating Microsoft Dynamics GP and FundEasy, it chose NetSuite for its reporting and mobile capabilities.
With NetSuite OneWorld, Brightpoint has cut financial close from 90 days to 18, while revenue went up 33 percent and patient visits were up 77 percent in the first two years. Meanwhile, NetSuite.org has provided discounted software and pro bono consulting.
Already managing four subsidiaries in OneWorld, Brightpoint can easily add more and react quickly to opportunities to add other service providers. It plans to customise its reports to add more granular detail and add the NetSuite budgeting and planning module and adding digital expense reporting.
