Innovative Australian Fashion Business Goes Global

Australian Fashion Labels (AFL) is an innovative fashion business with a focus on high quality and well-priced contemporary female fashion wear. In 2007, husband and wife duo Melanie and Dean Flintoft launched the Finders Keepers label, and have since expanded the portfolio to C/MEO Collective, Keepsake, The Fifth and Jaggar Footwear.

AFL boasts a diverse and rapidly expanding business with a multi-brand, multi-channel and multi-geography approach. It has over 130 staff, selling to more than 1,700 stores in 20 countries. AFL wanted to continue its aggressive global growth, however needed a unified system that provided visibility and control across the whole business to meet customers’ omnichannel expectations.

A single source of truth
With the complexity and diversity of the business, AFL needed a software solution that could unify its multiple systems to provide complete visibility across the organisation. At the time, it needed its product lifecycle management system to integrate well with the third party warehouse management system, AFL’s internal financial operations, and sales order and purchase order system. After evaluating the options, AFL chose NetSuite OneWorld to create a fully integrated system with a single version of truth of data, particularly around inventory.
Laying down the foundations
AFL turned to NetSuite in February 2017 to overhaul its existing systems and create easy access to data for all employees. AFL now enjoys universal visibility of its multi-channel business with the help of one integrated system, from supply chain to ecommerce and in-store POS and even up-to-date real-time data on all inventory. As a global business, this gives them the intelligence into business performance in every market and data to inform end-to-end planning, buying and trading. The multi-currency, multi-country options mean AFL can continue expanding and manage its success wherever it goes.
